Welcome to Button Boutique Within this catalogue are my latest designs which I paint individually onto hand cut ceramic buttons. The buttons are made from red terracotta clay which gives the glazed colours a deep intensity. I make each button by hand, from the rolling of the clay through to the intricate painting and glazing. As they are handmade, every button is completely unique and I can also make bespoke designs and shapes. I have always had a love for strong colour combinations and beautiful patterns in design. Inspiration for me began with the liberty fabrics in my mother’s patch-works and continues to draw from the past, through the delicate patterns of Art Nouveux to the more bold visual style of Art Deco.
